Landscape Designer
The Landscape Designer will be responsible for developing creative, functional, and sustainable landscape designs for residential, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use developments. The role involves translating project concepts into detailed landscape drawings, coordinating with architects and consultants, and supporting projects through design development and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Landscape Design
- Develop
landscape concepts, layouts, and detailed designs for luxury residential,
commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use projects.
- Prepare
landscape master plans, planting plans, hardscape layouts, irrigation
concepts, and outdoor space designs.
- Develop
design concepts aligned with project vision, architectural character, and
environmental requirements.
- Select
appropriate plants, trees, shrubs, groundcovers, hardscape materials,
street furniture, lighting, and landscape features.
- Prepare
mood boards, material palettes, sketches, and design presentations.
Technical Documentation
- Review detailed
landscape drawings, plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction
documentation.
- Develop
planting schedules, material schedules, and landscape specifications.
- Ensure
drawings comply with relevant design standards, authority requirements,
and project specifications.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, and
technical submittals.
- Coordinate
landscape drawings with architectural, structural, MEP, infrastructure,
irrigation, and lighting designs.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate
with architects, consultants, engineers, contractors, and internal
development teams.
- Participate
in design coordination meetings and provide landscape design inputs.
- Identify
design clashes and propose practical solutions.
- Support the Senior Landscape Designer / Design Manager
throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise
with suppliers and contractors to ensure design intent is maintained.
Site & Execution Support
- Conduct site visits to monitor landscape works against
approved designs and specifications.
- Review workmanship, materials, planting, hardscape
installation, and landscape finishes.
- Assist
with resolving site-related design and technical issues.
- Review
mock-ups and material samples before implementation.
- Support snagging and completion inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's
degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Architecture, or a
related discipline.
- Typically
8-12 years of
relevant experience in landscape design.
- Experience
within real estate development, architecture, landscape consultancy, or
construction is preferred.
- UAE/GCC project experience is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD
– advanced proficiency.
- SketchUp
/ 3D modelling software – proficient.
- Adobe
Photoshop / Illustrator / InDesign – proficient.
- Experience
with Lumion, Enscape, 3ds Max, Rhino, Revit, or similar software is
an advantage.
- Strong
knowledge of landscape materials, planting, irrigation, hardscape, and
outdoor lighting.
- Ability
to produce detailed technical drawings and presentation-quality design
packages.
